Who: The Hotel Association Of Canada and Tourism Canada presents “Destination Employment” – a program that helps newcomers to Canada gain meaningful employment in Canadian hotels, giving them the experience they need to build a successful future in Canada. This initiative is a win-win for both hoteliers and newcomers to Canada. Hoteliers are faced with an existing problem filling the job vacancies they already have, and newcomers to Canada need opportunities to find employment once they settle in Canada.
How: The Hotel Association Of Canada approached Baytek to create a mini-site that would serve both audiences for their new program, “Destination Employment”. At the kick-off meeting we went through a series of exercises to determine the users of the website, and what content they would need to see. We determined an illustrative and infographic based approach would present a unique and informative experience, so we set about developing a series of illustrations that work to support the content. We developed a custom resources archive to house all their videos and publications. The result is a beautiful, bilingual association website design that works for both potential hotel employees and hoteliers.
