Working at Baytek
What it’s actually like.
We’re not going to sell you on ping pong tables or unlimited snacks. Here’s what matters:

Remote-first reality
Most of our work happens through video calls and Slack. We have office space at 150 Elgin St. in Ottawa for anyone who wants it, but nobody’s required to show up anywhere.
We’ve been remote-first since 2020. First out of necessity, then because it actually works better.

Flexible hours that mean it
Not everyone wants to work 9 to 5. We get that. While there are limits (no graveyard shifts unless there’s a deadline), we can accommodate most schedules.
This isn’t lip service. It’s how we work.

Culture, not perks
We’re a small team that actually likes each other. We get together outside work, both virtually and in person. Volunteering, zip-lining, golf, BBQs, pub outings.
But the real culture shows up in how we work: No politics. Flat structure. Trust over surveillance. Your voice matters regardless of your title.
